A Hurricane Wedding Reception to Remember!

Kathleen & Kevin

Kathleen and Kevin were first introduced to each other at their mutual friends’ wedding in May of 2018. After being paired to walk down the aisle together, the two hit it off instantly, and the rest was history. Their love continued to grow and the two love birds were inseparable for the next few years. After battling some major stressors, (Kathleen finishing grad school, the move to the West Coast, and a global pandemic!!!!!) they were married in a small ceremony in March 2021 surrounded by their closest families!

In December 2021, Kathleen reached out to us here at Lesner Inn in order to plan a spectacular Wedding Reception for her & Kevin to share their unity and love with their extended friends and family who were unable to be there for their covid wedding! She decided September 30th, 2022, was the perfect date.

Throughout the entire planning process, we worked with Kathleen while Kevin was deployed. She was an absolute CHAMP through every change with his schedule and arrival times. Kevin’s return home was even delayed until 2 WEEKS before their special day, and she always kept her spirits high and a smile on her face.

Fast forward to September 30th, 2022. After all of the back and forth, Kathleen finally has Kevin home, and A HURRICANE decides to make a special appearance for their perfect night! With winds over 20 mph, heavy rain, coastal flooding, and literally EVERYONE and EVERYTHING soaking wet, we still NEVER saw Kathleen and Kevin without a smile on their faces!

Regardless of the weather, Kathleen & Kevin’s special night was full of love, laughter, happy tears, and LOTS of dancing! We are so happy we were able to be a part of their special love story. Our favoritepart? THE LIGHT UP COWBOY HATS AND FLIP FLOPS FOR THE ULTIMATE DANCE PARTY!
