Meet The Team

Alexis Hionis

Our Director of Operations & Lead Wedding Designer + Day-of-Coordinator is a VB native, born & bred.  She is a graduate from the University of Virginia, and after a short stint in the Los Angeles event industry, assisting in the production of major events such as the Screen Actor Guild Awards & Netflix’s 50 Millionth User Event, she returned to her East Coast beach roots. With an inherent love for all things wedding, paired with her creative energy and attention to detail, Alexis has found her home at Lesner where she has overseen hundreds of weddings but still hasn’t grown tired of the excitement of the big day…and the wedding cakes.

Her elevated creativity & design influence stems from her love to travel. To her, entertainment is a lifestyle. And she wants every event she plans to be an experience for everyone to enjoy. 

When she isn’t in the office, you’ll find her planning the next fundraising event for her non-profit, riseVB, or at the beach with her trusty sidekick – Ollie, a long-haired daschund.

Noelle Magnuson

With a background in marketing & public relations from West Virginia University, Noelle completes our team of event coordinators at Lesner. 

Her positive energy & hard work ethic coupled with her years of experience in the hospitality industry translates into the ideal coordinator with seamless execution at Lesner.  If you had the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes on your wedding day, you’d find her leadership comforting.  And if you get the pleasure of planning your wedding with her, you’d be wowed by her suggestions to perfect your menu with fun signature drinks & trendy hors d’oeuvres.

When she’s not at Lesner, you’ll find her soaking in the VB sun with a smoothie from Paradise Nutrition & her 4 year old Jasper… a terrier mix that loves people just as much as she does.

 

Britne Hanmer

Britne joined the Lesner Inn team in Fall of 2022 & we couldn’t be happier! This Southern California native feels most at home on the water, so it’s no surprise she found herself in Virginia Beach, working at a wedding venue literally on the water! She’s worn so many hats in the world of sales including management, operations, & buying & visual merchandising at Banana Republic.

With over a decade of experience in client relations under her belt & a “where there’s a will, there’s a way” attitude, Britne is your ideal Event & Sales Manager. Nothing brings her more joy than working on an event with a client from start to finish and helping make all their dreams become a reality! And we’re excited to announce she was recently engaged in the Summer of 2022 & is in the throes of planning her own wedding for Fall of 2024! Aside from planning her own wedding, you might see her cruising around town on bikes with her fiancé, looking for the next live music event to attend, or she can be spotted trying any and every coffee joint around VB!

Albert Mills

Albert joined the Lesner Inn team in March of 2022 with 15 years of experience in hospitality. So, creating memorable experiences is nothing new for this hospitality professional. After growing up in the Village of Sussex, Wisconsin, Albert moved to Ohio, Arizona & most recently, Virginia! It didn’t take Albert long to realize that the regardless of where he was, he felt joy in the food & beverage industry. He pursued a career as a Banquet Event Manager at The Lesner Inn – where he gets to lead our catering team & help create magical moments for our clients.

Albert’s extensive career in hospitality developed his passion for customer service satisfaction & attention to detail. But it’s his high energy & great leadership that creates positive relationships with each of our clients. He treats each event as if it’s his own, ensuring an exceptional experience.

In his spare time, he spends his time reading fantasy books, playing video games & board games… or taking care of his 3 dogs, 2 cats & guinea pig!
