With stunning waterfront views of the Lynnhaven Inlet, The Lesner Inn‘s “Waterside Deck” provides a casual yet elegant atmosphere that can be transformed to suit any themed celebration. In this blog, we highlight the groovy ideas our Design & Coordination team had when designing this Groovy Baby Shower theme.

Colorful Decor
To achieve the groovy baby shower theme, we really leaned into the vibrant & lively hues that reflect the spirit of the ’60s & ’70s. Consider a palette of electric orange, sunshine yellow, bright pink & soft violet. We incorporated ALL these colors in our table setting with the linens, mismatched napkins & tapered candles.
We carried the colorful aesthetic throughout the event space with a pink velvet couch, multi-colored balloons, pink up lights, and some more fun linens! We even did a “Mom-mosa bar” with a variety of juices to add to the colorful theme.
Disco Era Vibes
We embraced the spirit of the disco era by seizing every opportunity to integrate disco balls into our decor, from disco ball centerpieces, to disco ball cups & suspended disco balls. We even transformed a disco ice bucket to a vase for our flowers & used a disco sequin linen for our gift table. SO CUTE.
Retro Chic Decor
No Groovy Baby Shower would be complete without flower power motifs, tie dye patterns & psychedelic typography. We wanted guests to be transported to an era of peace, love & grooviness.
