The drinks were overflowing, joy and laughter filled the air, and our Lesner couples said “I do” under the heat of the sun and to the calming sounds of the Lynnhaven River. The summer of 2019 was one to remember…from June to August, the Lesner Inn managers saw some of the most beautiful weddings and fun trends. From décor to fun exits to florals, here are some things we’re sad to see go from summertime!

Pinks, Peaches, and Pastel       

Pinks, peaches, and the light pastel color scheme seemed the way to go this summer with many of our couples! Some used ice pink and peach linens to decorate Lesner Hall and the Waterside Deck, while other couples incorporated their colors in their up lighting, dresses and florals!

Sparkler Exit 

A favorite of all time is a sparkler exit! We know they can really be done in any season but the warm summer nights make for some pretty sparkler exit photos!  

Outdoor Lounge Areas

The sun is out and the breeze coming from the Lynnhaven River – it makes you want to stay outside all day! Some of our couples knew the feeling and had lounge areas out on the Sunset Deck or in the Waterside Deck to let their guests relax in the beautiful weather. However, just because the season is over doesn’t mean you can’t do some amazing indoor lounge areas!

The summer season may be coming to an end taking some of our favorite looks with it, but we’re so excited to see how our fall and winter couples create their dream weddings! Congratulations to all of our summer Lesner couples and here’s to the start of pumpkin spice and everything nice!
