Wedding Wednesday: Emily and Matthew Tie the Knot!

We’ve blogged a lot about how much we love spring weddings, so we’re excited to share a real wedding highlight blog for one of our first Spring 2022 weddings! Emily & Matt Russo said I do at the Lesner Inn on March 26^th – moments before hurricane-like winds took over our deck overlooking the water.

Emily & Matthew’s Love Story

First, a little back story on the newlyweds: Emily and Matthew’s love story began back in July of 2019. As soon as their first date concluded, Emily KNEW that he was who she would spend the rest of her life with. Equally important, Matthew ADORED Emily immediately. He describes that when he met her, he knew that he had just met the sweetest person he’d ever known; someone who embodies true beauty. He loves the way that she enjoys the little things in life.

Furthermore, they started dating shortly after their first date and began to enjoy the little things in life, together.

Fast- forward to February 2021, Matthew got down on one knee and proposed to Emily while searching for seashells on Frisco Beach (one of Emily’s FAVORITE things to do!). Emily said YES, and thus went on to plan the wedding of their DREAMS.

The Wedding Details

While we love a colorful spring wedding, there’s something about an all-white wedding that screams elegant, classy, chic – ALL THE THINGS. And with the snow lennox linens from BBJ for the guest tables paired with our glass gold beaded chargers and Kelly Gish’s beautiful floral design, Emily’s wedding was an absolute dream. Emily wore a silky- white, beautiful bridal gown from Ava Clara Bridal. This gown really represented her true beauty and sweet-natured soul.

Cathy (Emily’s mother) & Emily hired Lesner Inn’s coordination & design services – and we loveeeeee when our clients hire us for these services because we get to know our clients on a personal level since we’re meeting so much more often. And all we can say is that we absolutely LOVED getting to know Cathy, Emily, Matt, & Lori (Matthew’s mom). They were such a joy to work with and we were so honored to have the opportunity to do so.

Uniquely, despite hurricane-like winds, Mother nature worked its magic at sunset showing us a beautiful golden hour. In addition, Cat DeLine worked her magic to capture the most amazing sunset photographs of the newlyweds. Thanks to Cat’s expertise, you would have NO idea how truly windy it was during these the shooting of these photographs!
