Touchdown! Goal! Safe! No matter the time of year there’s always a sport which means there’s always the potential of trying to schedule or design your wedding around it. However, there is also the potential of adding in your favorite sports team or colors in your wedding design or ceremony itself, so for all you sports fans, keep on reading to find out how you can say “ I Do” feeling like you’re on home plate!

As guests arrive have them sign your football, soccer ball, home plate or a jersey with your last names instead of a traditional book. This allows you to encase the item and put it out as a display in your home or next to the TV for game day! Once they finish, they can go ahead and check their seating on your themed bracket seating chart. As guests look for their seats, they’ll admire your escort cards, team colored table cloths, centerpieces, and table numbers which can be trophies with flowers in them, helmets with the table number printed on the side, tee’d numbered golf balls, bags of small peanuts with their names and table number, footballs in vases with flowers, and much more!

The Food

Your guests have finally found their seats and it’s time to cut the cake! Your cake can range from being a traditional cake with just a sports themed cake topper to a full out stadium designed cake. However, the cake doesn’t have to be the only thing sports designed! For an added bonus, include a popcorn station, team designed frosted cookies, hot dog station, colored chocolate desserts to match your team’s colors or have your guests pick from your sports shaped entrees like football shaped crab cakes!

And You

The most important part of a sport’s themed wedding is you! If you have a bouquet add the ball of your sport in it or the colors of your team. Add in a hair pin if you’re doing an up do that reflects your team or wear your favorite jersey on top! If you’re wearing a suit then wear your team’s socks, match your tie to their color, or add a cuff link to represent!

There are so many ways to add in the love you have for each other with the love you have for the game, so have fun with it because at the end of the day you’re officially no longer a single player but a team.
