The Great Gatsby Wedding

Inspired by the beauty and elegance that is the roaring 20s, the Lesner Inn wanted to showcase all of the wonderful out of the box ideas, styles and concepts a couple could do for their wedding day! Creating this Gatsby inspired shoot captured by Echard Wheeler Photography was one of our favorite designs and we’re excited to share it all with you!

Wanting to incorporate the popularity of feathers, pearls, and the overall elegance of a 1920s aesthetic in our Lesner Hall, the Lesner inn with the help of The Wandering Petal, Jollity & Co, Waterford Event Rentals, Mad Hatter Vintage and Paper Dolls were able to create two distinct schemes which allowed guests to feel like they were personally invited to Gatsby’s dining room table for dinner!

The provided champagne ice art by Ice Art VA only added that little extra Gatsby style to the room!

With the room looking it’s absolute best, it was time to add in our gorgeous bride dressed by Milk & Honey Bridal, accessorized by Fink’s Jewelers and all glammed up by Meg from Blushtones and the Hair Days!

Guest tables? Check. Bride and Groom? Check. Next was our favorite part! The Sweetheart table! The set up created by Mad Hatter Vintage and The Wandering Petal against the balloon backdrop by Jollity & Co. and Stage Right Lighting’s lighted swags created the perfect romantic backdrop and setting!

Adding a little flair to your grand entrance like a Jollity & Co. balloon installation and drinks like this Mad Hatter greenery champagne wall is always the way to go, which is why we had to have it! In the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald “A Little Party Never Hurt Nobody”

Even Gatsby’s mansion couldn’t compare to the view of the Lynnhaven River, which was and always is the perfect spot for all our wedding ceremonies!

Dressed by Frances Kahn, our couple, danced the night away and there are no words to describe how incredibly beautiful the sunset was that day! Blues and purples covered the sky and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect thematic sunset!

However, the Lesner Hall wasn’t the only place we had travel back in time! Creating the perfect speakeasy lounge, the Waterside Deck was dressed in Mad Hatter Vintage cigar lounge pieces!

One of our favorite shoots yet we loved working with every one of our top Hampton road vendors and we couldn’t have had such a successful Open House with out them! Here’s to a great year with all of you and our Lesner Inn couples!
