A season for Every Bride: The Winter Stylized Shoot & the Vendors Who Made It Happen

| , , , , , , , , , ,

We designed two-day shoot that showcased all four seasons at The Lesner Inn and called it A season for every bride and it was an absolute honor work with some of Hampton Road’s most talented wedding vendors. This week’s blog highlights our Winter design. Our Director designed & styled this shoot, so we interviewed her to learn more about her design inspiration.

What was your favorite part of this shoot?

I love working with Virginia Beach’s talented wedding vendors. It feels like I get to hang out with friends when they’re at The Lesner Inn, so it makes the job so fun!

What was your favorite part to design?

When it comes to event design, floral arrangements, curated tablescapes & event lighting are always my favorite.

My clients frequently ask me for ways to save on florals or floral alternatives. So with this design specifically, I focused more of my attention on tablescape & lighting & I am still obsessed with the results.

Tell us about the tablescape.

The Wandering Petal made beautiful yet simple centerpieces with just single stem flowers, modern vases & some candles.  The table was decorated with a dark green velvet linen from Waterford Event Rentals & premier glassware, flatware & China from The Collection of Courtney Inghram. The result was beautiful!

How did you incorporate lighting?

Stage Right Lighting hung chandeliers in the center of each guest table to elevate the space & added some color to the perimeter of the room with some up lights.

The Lesner Inn’s dance floor falls in the center of the room, so we were able to create a dreamy moment with Stage Right Lighting’s chandelier draping, glass orbs & pendant lights.

Is the bride dancing in snow?

We were able to literally make it snow with the help of Stage Right Lighting!!! Talk about a Winter Wonderland!

Explain the wine tasting.

Weddings are all about experiences! Adding a wine tasting corner with a sommelier is something I would want at my wedding & think it would be so fun to participate in as a wedding guest.

Who was the hired baker?

Kristina Sideri baked the dessert & she is soooo talented.

Tell us more about the dessert inspiration.

Because my clients ask me for alternatives to the traditional wedding cake, I thought it would be fun to ask Kristina to make 3-tier wedding cookies that look like wedding cakes. And let’s just say… Kristina understood the assignment!!! The results were better than I could have imagined! The 3-tier sugar cookies were delicious & adorable at each place setting.

As for the wedding cake, we went for a more modern & simpler look. On top of a mirror vanity table… perfection!
